| 15 | Michele came to Canada the first time in 1909 with his older brother Andrea. When World War 1 broke out he had the choice of going back to Italy to fight for Italy or to stay in Canada to fight with the Canadians. He chose to go back to Italy to fight with the Italians. He was issued Service No. 33106 (4) when he arrived for service on January 15, 1914. On May 26, 1915 he was sent to the war zone. He left the war zone sick on September 3, 1915 and reported to the Depot on September 25, 1915. Michele was disharged from the army on July 5, 1919.
