Albemarle Co NC

Albemarle Co NC was an original county formed in 1664. In 1668 Albemarle County was divided into Chowan, Currituck, Pasquotank and Perquimans. Albemarle ceased being recognized as a unit of government in 1689.

1. Edward Padgett married Margaret Tyner dau of Nicholas Tyner d: c1708 in IOW Co VA. Margaret Tyner's sister Eleanor Tyner married Wm Ashley. Nicholas Tyner's will says "I give unto my daughter Margaret two Cowes & Calves & ye plantation where shee now lives in Rockahock, [Rockyhock] being ye remainder of part of ye Land before given to her & her heirs."
2. Bear Swamp is between Merry Hill and Windsor NC.

1. Humphrey Robinson married Eliz Branch dau of Wm Branch and Margaret Wheatley. Margaret married 2d Wm Arkill.
2. Humphrey Robinson had two children: Eliz and Francis.
